Technology should been seen as a tool for learning in the classroom. Just as an explorer is going to pick equipment necessary to the task of a journey to the South Pole, so the teacher should identify technology that is specific to the task. A laptop for writing, a compass or GPS for a lesson about maps and geography, and pedometer for gym class.
Technology should bring in something unique to the lesson and provide a way for students to communicate, collaborate, and create.
